Faris Caves

Faris
Caves is recommended for a nomination to the
National Register of Historic Sites by the U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers in 1986 .
During
this Archeological Survey, Kansas State Archeologists classified
Faris Caves as significant, because of their unusual architecture
and considered them extremely rare in this region. Faris Caves consist
of three hand -carved rooms in the Dakota Sandstone bluff.
